The Space She Holds

After an unexpected medical issue I began to think about my body in a new way. Often we complain about ourselves never really appreciating how wonderful our bodies are and how much we need them to be healthy.

I saw Tracey Emin’s solo show in Florence and this also inspired me to look at more figurative work. As part of my art study I used to do weekly life drawings and always found them to be powerful artworks compelling the gaze to see another body in an unpolished way - the rawness of it.
